Casa Jaumet wins the Laus Gold Award for the packaging of its Crystallized Honey, designed by Víctor García Gutiérrez, an exclusive product for haute cuisine

We are delighted to share some news that fills us with joy. Designer Víctor García Gutiérrez, alumni of the Master’s in Design and Art Direction, has been awarded a Gold Laus Award 2025 by ADG-FAD for a very special project: innovative packaging for our Crystallized Honey from Casa Jaumet.

This recognition values not only the design but also our way of understanding beekeeping. The proposal was born from the desire to reposition a little-known product, crystallized honey, and give it new meaning with a design where form and content become inseparable. The result is packaging that speaks for itself and reflects the product’s identity and the care with which we work with our bees.

The project was made possible thanks to the collaboration with local artisans, who created km0 packaging, respectful of the land and the community. The forged iron molds and hand-blown glass containers, made from 100% recyclable borosilicate, symbolize the union between design, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

Crystallized honey is a natural process that occurs when the sugars in honey (mainly glucose) solidify into small crystals. Far from being a defect, crystallization is a guarantee of quality and purity, as it only occurs in natural honeys not subjected to excessive industrial heating. The award-winning packaging positions it as an exclusive product for haute cuisine and fine dining, intended for chefs and avant-garde restaurants, and valued by gourmands seeking unique ingredients of great excellence.

For us, this award is also a recognition of years of work recovering forgotten bee colonies in the Catalan Pre-Pyrenees, caring for them with respect and love, and bringing a unique and natural honey to everyone’s table.

Thank you for accompanying us on this journey and for valuing with us the importance of honey, bees, and well-done work.
